Development is so important in the early years that you do not simply want to hope that children get all of the opportunities they need to learn. You want to put a long-term plan in place to make sure learning happens. Your plan for children’s learning is called curriculum. Curriculum is everything that goes on in your program, from the moment a child arrives until she leaves. In this course you will explore the characteristics of an effective curriculum so you can ensure that you are giving children all of the opportunities they need to grow and develop.
