Title: Raising Emotionally Healthy Children

This interactive session provides an overview of child development, attachment, brain development, and explores the roles of parents, teachers, and community members in supporting children to become thriving adults who give back to their communities.
This lively session presents an overview of emotional readiness, offers guidance on supporting young children and their parents and caregivers and provides information early childhood development. Through the use of video clips, storytelling and lecture participants will develop an understanding of how parents, teachers, home visitors, and health providers can build emotional readiness in young children preparing them for success in school and in life.
Bridging the gap between evidenced-based research and the real world, this seminar demonstrates how consistent, sensitive and responsive relationships with caring adults – parents, grandparents and childcare providers – provide the essential ingredients for health, well-being, and learning.
