NDSU Parent Resource Centers
Parents and providers of children ages birth – six years learn to interact with children providing a win/win philosophy by showing love and acceptance in a healthy way and establishing effective control. Adults balance effective limits delivered in loving ways, strengthening adult child relationships while providing guidance. All of this is done with a caring and loving attitude. This gives young children the security of knowing where limits are and that the adults in their life are not going to lose control to maintain them. Love and Logic addresses topics that include handling misbehavior, clear communication skills, avoiding power struggles, setting and enforcing limits and using logic and consequences.
